Sportium was born in 2007 to operate bets in Spain as a result of a Joint Venture formed by CIRSA and Ladbrokes Coral Group, leading companies in the sector at a national and international level. From the outset, the long history and experience of both companies provided Sportium with privileged know-how of the sector and the market, and has positioned the company in a leadership position since its inception. In 2013 the extension of the business to the online channel was agreed, through Sportium.es. Multichannel is made effective thanks to the presence on the web, mobile, and its extensive network of points of sale. In 2015, internationalization began in Latin America, and it currently operates in Panama, since 2016, and in Colombia, since 2017. An ambitious expansion plan that will progressively include other countries in the region. In 2019 CIRSA became the 100% owner of Sportium, after signing an agreement with Ladbrokes Coral Group. As part of its commitment to the sport, Sportium has been an Official Sponsor of LaLiga since the 2014/2015 season.
