Globe Refund was founded by Stanislas Conte in 2016 to assist legal and natural investors to recover the withholding tax (WHT) levied on their dividends, respectively to analyse, compile and file the required documentation for obtaining the refund in important jurisdictions. Globe Refund manages all the reclaim processes in-house thanks to our fantastic team of tax lawyers. Our clients can benefit from an updated and wide knowledge of the reclaim opportunities for each jurisdiction and each type of investment vehicle. The idea to create Globe Refund came from an important need of investment vehicles, pensions funds, life-insurance companies to recover huge amounts in various countries in order to improve their financial performance and to protect themselves from liabilities towards investors. Led by the customer-oriented perspective, Mr. Conte met in the person of Mr. Jivko Sedlarski a very trustful and skilled partner and the development of Globe Refund, by delivering a high level of international tax services to its clients, became naturally the sole and unique goal of the company. After being graduated in “Business Tax law”, Jivko Sedlarski started his professional carrier more than 10 years ago in Paris, in the corporate tax department of a Big 4. He then moved to the international tax service of the highly reputable law firm CMS as an international tax advisor. His professional path in several countries, including France, Morocco, Bulgaria gave him the required experience to succeed in international taxation, including tax optimization, application of DTT, withholding tax reclaims. Mr. Sedlarski joined Globe Refund’s family as COO and director of the legal team. 171 Mio€ of claims have been filed only in the year 2021 by Globe Refund's team.
