The Visual Researchers’ Society of Canada (VRSC/ARAC) is a professional organization of researchers experienced in sourcing and clearing footage and still imagery for use in any kind of media. Founded in 2005, the VRSC has almost 100 members across the country who work on projects for clients around the globe. In a world awash in images, finding the right one for the right price has become a fine balance of art and business—our members are dedicated professionals who do just that. Our Mission Statement The Visual Researchers’ Society of Canada exists to promote excellence in the field of visual research in all media and to raise the profile of visual research as a profession. We provide our members with on-going education opportunities and a forum to freely exchange ideas and information. We also aim to bring a high standard of professionalism to the greater community, regardless of the media, so clients are assured of receiving the best possible research and thorough clearance work—imagination and business acumen in one role.
