Established in 1887, the Faculty of Law is one of the oldest professional faculties at the University of Toronto, with a long and illustrious history. Today, it is one of the world’s top law schools, a dynamic academic and social community with more than 50 full-time faculty members and 25 distinguished short-term visiting professors from leading law schools across the globe, as well as 500 undergraduate and graduate students. Located in Toronto, Canada's largest and most diverse city, the Faculty’s rich academic programs are supplemented by its many legal clinics, public interest programs, and close links to more than 6,000 alumni, who enjoy rewarding careers in every sector of Canadian society and remain involved in many aspects of law school life. A $53M construction project has created the new state-of-the-art Jackman Law Building, a renovated Bora Laskin Law Library, and a refreshed Falconer Hall, one of the law schools' two beautiful, historic buildings.
