Africa ASAP is dedicated to protecting endangered wildlife from illegal poaching by providing long-term, near-continuous surveillance of wildlife refuges. African elephants are in a critical situation – one elephant is killed for ivory every fifteen minutes. At the current rate, wild African elephants could be extinct within the next ten to fifteen years. Africa ASAP will proactively combat illegal poaching by launching a remote controlled airship over wildlife refuges. The airship will deliver timely information to Rapid Response Rangers, trained by our partner, The PAMS Foundation (www.PAMSFoundationTanzania.org).
