Choice Textile
www.choicetextile.comOUR MISSION As part of our organisation’s Corporate Social Responsibility and through the proceed of our recycling initiatives, we have set about sending unwanted textbooks to developing countries to help with numeracy and literacy where there is acute book famine. The first of several containers, holding approximately Seventy thousand books each will leave UK for Africa in the next couple of weeks. Our primary target is to send 2 Million used textbooks within the next five years. DESCRIPTION Our HistoryChoice has been in the recycling industry since 1999. We initially started out as a textile recycling company working alongside charity organisations, sorting and exporting used clothing to developing countries. Over the past few years, Choice has developed the business to include the recycling of non-textile materials such as books, CDs, DVDs and much more. We have given much thought to developing further opportunities for people to recycle unwanted goods and in the process support the work of different charities. As part of this thinking we have introduced textile and book and media bank initiatives. The public would find it easy to recycle unwanted items and our partner charities would benefit through the proceeds generated.
