DAS (Design and Architecture Society) was established by students of graphic design and communication and design departments of Bilkent University. Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture consists departments of architecture, communication and design, fine arts, graphic design, interior architecture and environmental design, urban design and landscape architecture. DAS is divided into different coordinatorships: Design Bilkent, 1 Architect 1 Space, Travel and Events. Pafta Magazine, the first student based design magazine in Turkey, was founded in 2015, which has eventually transitioned to online platform ( http://paftamag.com/) . Every April, DAS organises the Design Bilkent panels, which aim to enhance communication of experience, knowledge and ideas of academic personnel, professionals and design students. Design Bilkent Panels remain the biggest student-organized design event in Turkey and have hosted included but not limited to: Perkins+Will, Zaha Hadid, SOM, Gehry and Partners, EAA Architects and Tabanlıoğlu Architects.
