Te Māngai Pāho promotes Māori language and culture through the provision of funding for Māori initiatives in Music, Radio, TV and New media. Te Māngai Pāho (Maori Broadcast Funding Agency) is a New Zealand Crown Entity responsible for promotion of Māori language and culture by providing funding for Māori language programming on radio and television. The Broadcasting Amendment Act 1993 established Te Māngai Pāho in 1994.
