The Alberta Bone and Joint Health Institute (ABJHI) is the foremost expert in bone and joint health in Canada. By applying research, data analysis and measurement, we work with our partners to deliver evidence-based, long-term solutions that tangibly improve patient care and patient health. Osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, spinal disorders, low back pain, and major trauma are among 200 musculoskeletal (bone and joint) conditions affecting hundreds of millions of people globally, indicating a significant need in the health care field. With our main office located in Calgary, Alberta and a satellite office in Edmonton, Alberta, our mission is to be a source of truth for improving bone and joint health of Albertans. As a not-for-profit and registered charity, our work is supported by partnerships with Alberta Health Services (namely the Bone and Joint Health Strategic Clinical Network), universities, medical and health practitioners, researchers, not-for-profits, educators, government, patients and private donors.
