The ALPB promotes legal, unlicensed low power broadcasting to serve local communities which are under-served by big "corporate" radio. Our members operate these stations as both hobbies and small businesses. We operate on the AM, FM, and Shortwave bands under FCC Part 15 rules in the U.S.A. and other relevant authorities in other nations. MISSION STATEMENT The Mission of the ALPB is to share knowledge and experience pertaining to license free, low power broadcasting. MEMBERSHIP Members of the ALPB are individuals interested in discussing and/or practicing the art and science of radio broadcasting. Members have the right to terminate membership by notifying the Chairman. MEETINGS General Meeting shall be held twice per month. Special meetings due to circumstance may occur at other times. Special Meetings can be summoned by arrangement with the Chairman. Notice of meeting time will be posted at Part15.us and thealpb.com. Chairman moderates meetings. Acting-Chair may be appointed by Chairman. In absence of Chair person, meeting shall continue Ad Hoc or with Acting-Chair person appointed by members present.
